$3 Million In Revenues
With 1 month left in the current fiscal year, the Mesa Convention Center & Mesa Amphitheatre, the City of Mesa’s full-service meeting, convention & outdoor concert facilities, have already set a new record for annual facility revenues. The 60,000 square-foot Mesa Convention Center, which includes the 15,000 square-foot Centennial Hall, saw room rental, catering & audio-visual revenues increase by 22% to $1,390,627 through the end of April.
The Mesa Amphitheatre, named this year by Ranking Arizona as one of the Phoenix metro area’s top 10 concert venues, has grossed $1,833,321 thus far this fiscal year, while presenting its greatest number of commercial concerts in more than a decade. The combined Convention Center & Amphitheatre gross revenues total $3,223,949, surpassing the previous single-year high of $2,662,097 in FY 2003/2004. The figure represents an increase of more than 31% from last year’s 10-month total.
The Mesa Convention Center was originally opened in 1978 as the centerpiece of the city’s 100th anniversary celebration.
