Direct From Napolitano:
Gov. Napolitano has proclaimed May 22nd, 2007 as National Parent Care Day™ in Arizona. The day will give children of all ages an opportunity to honor their parents & begin the process of open communication regarding parent care issues & challenges.
In the proclamation, Gov. Napolitano states: “Millions of Americans are ill prepared to address their own, or a loved one’s, challenges with aging,” & declared “It’s never too late,” as the theme for National Parent Care Day™, citing “the need for children to talk to their aging parents about the health & financial issues they are facing.”
National Parent Care Day™ was founded by Dan Taylor of The Parent Care Solution, a program that coaches real people & financial advisors on how to address the issues & challenges facing aging Americans & their families. “It’s never too late to begin having the necessary conversations with parents about their wishes as they grow older,” said Taylor. “National Parent Care Day™ will provide a time for citizens across Arizona to begin these conversations while also honoring their parents.
