State Mine Inspector Indicted
State Mine Inspector Douglas K. Martin has been indicted on charges relating to theft, fraud & procurement code fraud dealing with the acquisition of new vehicles for his office, Attorney General Terry Goddard has announced.
Reportedly, Martin falsely told a dealer he could obtain those vehicles through lease-purchase agreements & then “deceived” the state into making payments for them by certifying the expenditures were in compliance with state laws & regulations. Martin's scheduled to appear in Maricopa Co. Superior Court on Dec. 27th, & he could get 15 years in prison if convicted on all 9 counts of these 3 alleged crimes.
