Coconino County Democrats have selected three candidates to fill Arizona House of Representatives Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick District 2 spot after she resigned to run for the U.S. House in Congressional District 1.

Elected Precinct Committee people from Coconino County who reside in Legislative District 2 selected the following:

* Kara Kelty – is currently a member of the Flagstaff City Council. Kelty previously served as the Family Housing Director for NAU.

* Tom Chabin – is a former member of the Coconino County Board of Supervisors (1992-2000). He also served on the Tuba City School Board.

* Tony Gonzales – is currently an attorney with William P Ring PC in Flagstaff practicing zoning, land use, & business law. Gonzales also serves as a Vice-Chairman for the Arizona Democratic Party.

The candidates have been submitted to the Coconino County Board of Supervisors, who'll select one of the candidates to fill the vacancy.
