The 1st Annual Southern Gila County Leadership Academy is coming Sept. 4th. The 10-week session of classes will meet every Tuesday evening from 6-9 pm, & will teach those in participation on how the government functions in the way it does. There's no charge for the Academy, registration is limited. For an application, please contact the chamber of commerce at 1360 N. Broad St in Globe or pick one up from county supervisors’ office at the Gila Co. Courthouse. Completed applications are due back to the chamber of commerce by Aug. 10th, 2007 & successful applicants will be notified by Aug. 17th.
