The official announcement will be coming shortly that Steve Kerr is going to be hired as the President & General Manager of the Phoenix Suns. Kerr must finish his current job with TNT before he can start with the Suns. This move will help keep D'Antoni focusing on coaching, instead of his split duty of GM & coach.

A Leak That Is A Calk

A wife should know better than to use her special Courthouse privileges to leak documents that have no merit but to cause harm and not blow any whistle's within the County. However, that info leaked raised a minor stink, without the whole truth behind the ink. These same clowns believe, your pain is their gain. The guilty parties know who they are. Wouldn't you? As it is, NOTHING is sealed.

Ridden Out On A Rail

The dirt begins:

Travel north where the trees help give a nice breeze to find out about the truth behind this persons past. Ask the right questions and people will talk, after twenty years they will not balk. The start will not be fast, but, you'll be solidly aghast.

Direct From Napolitano:

Gov. Napolitano has proclaimed May 22nd, 2007 as National Parent Care Day™ in Arizona. The day will give children of all ages an opportunity to honor their parents & begin the process of open communication regarding parent care issues & challenges.

In the proclamation, Gov. Napolitano states: “Millions of Americans are ill prepared to address their own, or a loved one’s, challenges with aging,” & declared “It’s never too late,” as the theme for National Parent Care Day™, citing “the need for children to talk to their aging parents about the health & financial issues they are facing.”

National Parent Care Day™ was founded by Dan Taylor of The Parent Care Solution, a program that coaches real people & financial advisors on how to address the issues & challenges facing aging Americans & their families. “It’s never too late to begin having the necessary conversations with parents about their wishes as they grow older,” said Taylor. “National Parent Care Day™ will provide a time for citizens across Arizona to begin these conversations while also honoring their parents.

While working at the only Country station in this community that actually cares and doesn't need to talk shit about about its citizens. That and a report of which did not even tell the truth about who really started that station. Anyways, I announce various items to bring in folks from the locations under our 1.6+ million coverage umbrella to end up with zero gratitude shown. It takes a lot to steer a the negative outlook upon Globe-Miami that has been incurred over the years. I have done a lot to spin that view. Maybe I shouldn't, maybe I should attack without fact checking and make-up stories to discredit people here. Perhaps those that wish to bring in monies to their charities from a greater reach should not even bother. It's a thankless job from what I have seen. Especially when other media outlets are made aware of a danger to the community but are a member of the same club, the CCN were aware of a predator that was the former head of the CVRC.

If you have an issue with this, good, then I'm doing my job right. Go ahead and send your e-mails to: shopandtalk@cableone.net. The information said on this site is mine and not that of krde, so before this gets plagiarized like another radio stations blog has, you'll at least know the truth.

United States Beverage, L.L.C., announced that Spanish Peaks Black Dog Ale will partner with the Arizona Humane Society to launch the “Help Chug Help His Friends” program, which donates a portion of sales to rescuing Maricopa & Coconino counties’ animals.

“Black Dog Ale is committed to promoting respect for animals & is proud to support the Arizona Humane Society,” said Justin Fisch, Marketing Director for USB. “In our journey toward the humane treatment of animals, it’s especially important that the public recognize the outstanding capabilities & compassion of these organizations.”

AHS President & C.E.O. Cheryl Naumann said, “We are delighted to partner with Spanish Peak’s Black Dog Ale & truly appreciate their generous support & their dedication to helping shelters such as ours. We applaud businesses such as United States Beverage & Spanish Peaks Black Dog Ale that not only recognize the needs of shelter pets, but also find creative ways to help improve their lives.”

Black Dog Ale has not only partnered with Arizona Humane Society, but local humane organizations nationwide. In addition to monetary donations based upon cases sold throughout the area, Black Dog Ale will also partner to help promote fundraising & volunteer events that support awareness campaigns.

Just in time for national “Adopt-A-Dog Month” in October, Black Dog Ale will encourage consumers through in-store signage & displays to visit blackdogales.com, where you'll be able to search listings of local humane society locations nearby where they can adopt a dog.

Black Dog Ale has updated their packaging to endorse the humane society partnership with a special “stamp” logo displayed on all 6-pack carriers & point of sale items.

USB’s decision to work with animals was an obvious one. Black Dog Ale’s founder credited his own black Lab, Chug, with the success of brand. The program was created not only to honor Chug’s memory, but also to recognize the incredible importance animals play in the lives of people.

Fire Name: Promontory fire

Time/Date Started: May 13th, 2007, 1605 hrs (close to Promontory Lookout)

Location: The Promontory Fire is located atop & below the Mogollon Rim near Promontory Fire Lookout about 1 ½ miles to the closest private property in the community of Christopher Creek & about 3 miles south of Bear Canyon Lake.

Acres: 200+ Cause: Under investigation

Fuels: The Promontory Fire is burning in a mixture of fuel types: ponderosa pine & mixed conifer above the Rim at 7,700 feet elevation with ponderosa pine, pinyon pine & juniper below the Rim.

Contained: 0%

Resources ordered/committed: A Type 2 Incident Management Team was assigned to manage this fire at 6 pm today. Presently on scene are: 3 wildland engines & crews, 2 bulldozers, 2 water tenders, & 6 Hotshot crews. One heavy helicopter & 2 heavy air tankers were scheduled to assist the firefighters.

Estimated Cost to Date: Unknown

Structures threatened: None

Summary: The Promontory Fire was spotted about 4:05 pm yesterday burning close to the Promontory Lookout. High winds whipped the fire in all directions & pushed it over the Rim where the terrain is very steep. Firefighters are working above the Rim, conducting burn-out operations south of FS Road 300. Upslope winds gusting up to 30 mph were expected.

Concerns: The terrain is very steep along the side of the Mogollon Rim so safety of fire crews is paramount. There is a large A.P.S. powerline about 3 miles north of the fire. There are 4 campgrounds & numerous dispersed campsites in the general vicinity.

Restrictions: Bear Canyon Lake campground & lake access, along with dispersed camping near Promontory Butte, are closed until further notice. All campgrounds at Woods Canyon Lake & lake access are open. The public should contact Black Mesa Ranger District for further recreational closure/restrictions: 928-535-4481.

Forest Road 300 is closed at its junction with FR 34; this junction is 2 miles from Woods Canyon.

The Ponderosa fire is fully contained.

Casa Gande Man Booked For Manslaughter After Accident

Arizona Dept of Public Safety Officers investigated a collision that occurred on I-10 near mile post 192, south of Casa Grande on May 4th, requiring officers to restrict the eastbound right lane for several hours. Ms. Romona Gregorio, was the driver of a red Ford pickup, & was heading eastbound on I-10 when she noticed another truck drifting into her lane. Gregorio, then took an evasive action & moved right, off the roadway & stopped on the soft dirt shoulder. DPS Officers arrived to assist Gregorio & helped her get her vehicle back onto the highway.

Shortly after driving away, Gregorio was hit from behind by a Ford pickup driven by Jeffery Morton, age 54 from Casa Grande. The collision caused Gregorio to lose control of her vehicle, moving her right, off the roadway & onto the shoulder. Her vehicle rolled several times & she was ejected. Romona, an Arizona City resident, died at the scene, she was 47 years old. Alcohol may have played a factor in this collision & Jeffery Morton was booked into the Pinal Co. Jail on one count of Manslaughter.
