Plants-of-the-Bible Guided Tours:
Have you ever seen a real fig leaf, & pondered just how much anatomy it might conceal? Would you recognize a pomegranate, & can you recall where olives are referenced in Scripture? Boyce Thompson Arboretum offers a 1:30 p.m.guided "Plants of the Bible" walking tour on April 1st & April 21st. This relaxing walk is a chance to learn about botany, history & Scripture along paths that are accessible to wheelchairs & walkers. Collections explored include the Picnic ground, Demonstration & Herb Gardens. From May-Sept this tours moves to mornings & will be offered May 19th, June 16th, July 21st, Aug 18th, & Sept 15th. The Arboretum is about 45 minutes drive East of Mesa, right near highway 60 milepost #223 as you approach the historic copper mining town of Superior.
