Health-e Connection Summit

On March 20th, Gov. Janet Napolitano will meet with national & local leaders to discuss plans using technology to improve the quality & reduce the cost of health care. Confirmed national leaders include Dr. Robert Kolodner from the Federal Office of the National Coordinator on Health Information Technology, Dr. Roxanne Townsend, deputy director of the Louisiana Dept of Health, & Hospitals & Janet Marchibroda from eHealth Initiative & Foundation.

In addition, the Summit will feature a progress report from Arizona e-health leaders on the State Roadmap implementation efforts.

The Arizona Health-e Connection was created by Governor Napolitano’s executive order 2005-25. In March 2005, the Steering Committee delivered the Health-e Connection Roadmap to the Governor. The Health-e Connection recently transitioned from public management to a nonprofit 501c3 organization. More information is available at azhec.org.
