Demonstrations At Roosevelt Lake Visitor’s Center This Weekend

The Roosevelt Lake Visitor’s Center will host demonstrations of Sonoran Desert foods, plants & medicines this Saturday & Sunday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Author Don Wells will be on hand to talk about different plants found in the desert, where they are found & what they look like. He will also provide information about medicinal uses for desert plants, seeds, & fruit.

Author Jean Groen, who has a degree in home economics, has researched old Indian recipes & developed modern recipes using the products. She'll share some recipes & cooking techniques & provide tasty samples of her cooking to the audience.
