Town of Florence Dog Park

The Town of Florence Parks and Recreation Dept invites you & your family to the grand opening of Florence’s newest park. Florence’s new park is a dog park, which is temporarily named the Florence Dog Park. There is a fun filled morning of activities scheduled for the grand opening on Feb. 24th, beginning at 9 a.m. & ending at around 11 a.m.

The following activities are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.:

• Ribbon cutting ceremony
• Dog show (categories listed below)
• Announcement of contest winner who names the dog park
• K-9 demonstration
• Pinal County Animal Control information booth
• Free hot dogs and drinks while they last

Please bring your dog(s) & your family to participate in the 1st annual dog show. The dog show is free to enter & categories include: biggest dog, smallest dog, most colorful dog, most unusual dog, & best trick.

They are currently accepting entries to name the new dog park. Contact the Parks & Recreation office at 868-4835 to enter your ideas of what the dog park should be called, & for information regarding the grand opening event. The dog park is located at 200 East 8th Street, directly behind the little league park.
