Glendale Officer Anthony Holly's Funeral Procession Route

Drivers in the north Valley should prepare for traffic restrictions during today's funeral procession for slain Glendale police officer Anthony Holly.

The procession is scheduled to begin at approx. 11:45 a.m. at Christ's Church of the Valley at 7007 W. Happy Valley Road in Peoria.

The line of local law enforcement, firefighting & other vehicles will travel south on 67th Avenue to the Loop 101, continue along the eastbound freeway & exit at 7th St. The procession will turn north under the freeway & go west on the Loop 101 frontage road to Phoenix Memorial Cemetery, 200 W. Beardsley Road in Phoenix. Authorities expect the procession to end at approx. 1:30 p.m.

The eastbound Loop 101 will be closed (by DPS officers) at 75th Avenue at approx. 12 noon, when the procession is about to enter the freeway.

Eastbound freeway traffic exiting at the closure at 75th Ave. will have access to the eastbound frontage road. However, eastbound Loop 101 entrance ramps between 75th & 7th avenues will be closed. The ramps from I-17 to eastbound Loop 101 also will be closed.
