The Az Dept of Transportation (ADOT) says the following freeway restrictions are scheduled in the Phoenix area this weekend (Feb. 16-19):
* Westbound US 60 (Superstition Freeway) closed between Power Road & Val Vista Drive from 10 p.m. Friday - 5 a.m. Monday (Feb. 19) for freeway widening & rubberized asphalt paving. The westbound US 60 on-ramps at Crismon, Ellsworth & Sossaman roads will also be closed. The northbound Loop 202 ramp to westbound US 60 will be closed. Drivers approaching the closure are urged to use alternate routes, including the westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) to northbound Loop 101 to reconnect with US 60.
* Eastbound I-10 narrowed to 2 lanes between 40th Street & Broadway Road from 9 p.m. Friday - 9 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 17) for pavement repair work. The eastbound I-10 HOV lane ramp to eastbound US 60 will also be closed. Eastbound I-10 will also be narrowed to 2 lanes between Broadway Rd & Baseline Rd from 9 p.m. Saturday - 9 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 18) for pavement repair work. The eastbound I-10 HOV lane ramp to eastbound US 60 will again be closed during this overnight restriction. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes, including eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) to southbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) in order to bypass the I-10 work zone.
* Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) in the West Valley narrowed to 2 lanes in both directions near Indian School Road from 10 p.m. Saturday - 5 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 18) for barrier wall work. Drivers are urged to use caution & be prepared to merge safely when approaching the work zone.
* Interstate 10 narrowed to 2 lanes in both directions between 99th & 107th avenues from 10 p.m. Saturday - 5 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 18) for barrier wall work. Drivers are urged to use caution and be prepared to merge safely when approaching the work zone.
