Wolfe Appointed
The Az. Dept. of Transportation has announced Timothy M. Wolfe's appointment as Phoenix Maintenance District Engineer. Wolfe has served ADOT since 1984, most recently as Assistant State Engineer responsible for all Intelligent Transportation Systems & the Statewide Traffic Operations Center. He's also held a number of other highly responsible positions with ADOT including management of the reconstruction of the I-10 Maricopa Freeway.
The Phoenix Maintenance District covers 3,750 square miles between Buckeye on the west, Florence Junction on the east, New River on the north & the Gila River Indian Community on the south. Wolfe will be responsible for maintaining 3,267 lane miles of roadway, 4,879 acres of landscaping, 138 miles of drainage channels & more than 80 miles of sound walls.
Wolfe’s appointment is effective Feb. 3rd. John Hauskins is the current District Engineer & has been with ADOT for 30 years. Hauskins has accepted a position with the Maricopa Co. Dept. of Transportation.
