McFarland State Historic Park Now Open 7 Days A Week
McFarland State Historic Park is now open 7 days a week, 2 new rangers have been added to the staff & the park's future focus will be Law & Order in Territorial Arizona.
Don't miss your chance to meet the new rangers & check out McFarland State Historic Park on Feb. 10th. In conjunction with the town's Annual Florence Historic Home Tour, the park will have civilian & military re-enactments from 9 a.m - 4 p.m. Territorial Brass Band will also perform.
Future exhibits will interpret how the various efforts by peace officers, the military, civilians, & the Indian Police made statehood possible in 1912. There are also plans to reconstruct the 1882 jail where 2 men were lynched.
