Committee On Public Lands Use Meeting
The following is an agenda for a meeting of the Public Lands Use Committee, one of the committees which is under the Economic Development Summit. All interested persons are welcome to attend this meeting.
Multiple Use, Commodity Harvest, Public Lands Meeting - Objective No. 8.
Mission Statement:
To help restore "multiple use" & "public access" our Federal & public lands. Bringing about, initiating the uses of adaptive management principles & practices to promote healthily, functioning & productive land & watersheds.
The January 2007 meeting for this group will be held at the Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce Building on Jan. 18th, 2007 beginning at 5:30 PM.
Currently the agenda is as follows;
* Reach a consensus on what Gila County should do regarding involvement in actions such as NEPA, ESA, etc.
* Discuss what types of public education programs would be available to educate others.
* What role Gila County should be in concerning the revision of the Tonto National Forest (TNF) Plan Revision?
* What efforts can be made in moving the TNF headquarters to the Tonto?
* Address the USFS access road on the Pinal Mountains "Doak", the Cherry Creek road #698, & the road to Glesen Flats #303A.
