Governor Issues Elections Proclamations
Gov. Janet Napolitano has issued the statutory proclamations necessary for initiatives & resolutions passed by voters last month to become law.
Voters approved the following measures:
Prop 100 – Relating to bailable offenses.
Prop 101 – Relating to local property tax levies (new levy limit takes effect Jan. 1st, 2007). Prop 102 – Relating to standing in civil actions.
Prop 103 – Relating to English as the official language.
Prop 104 – Relating to municipal debt.
Prop 201 – Relating to the Smoke-Free Arizona Act (indoor smoking restrictions become effective May 1st, 2007).
Prop 202 – Relating to the Arizona Minimum Wage Act (becomes effective Jan. 1st, 2007).
Prop 203 – Relating to funding for Early Childhood Development & Health Programs.
Prop 204 – Relating to cruel & inhumane confinement of animals (becomes effective Dec. 31st, 2012).
Prop 207 – Relating to the Private Property Rights Protection Act.
Prop 300 – Relating to Public Program Eligibility.
Prop 301 – Relating to Probation for Methamphetamine Offenses.
The results of the Nov. 7th, election were certified on Mon., Dec. 4th, & are available on the Secretary of State’s website at azsos.gov. Copies of the Governor’s proclamations identified above are attached in one file in pdf format.
