GCC Expanding Technology
Gila Community College is expanding training opportunities in the area of technology. APS & GCC jointly announce those wishing to learn how to use AutoCAD will now have the opportunity this spring. DRF 154, Introduction to AutoCAD is being offered this spring semester. Students will gain hands-on experience using AutoCAD computer drafting software. Emphasis is placed on the integration of 3D solid modeling & 2D drafting output. Students will earn 2 credits following successful completion of the course.
APS is subsidizing the software that will be installed in 1 of 3 computer labs on the Gila Pueblo Campus. Frank Castillo & Jeremy Skaggs will be instructing the course. Both are APS employees & bring a wealth of experience to the classroom.
Bob Ashford, Chairman of the GCC Governing Board, states, "Mr. Bill Marshall of APS has a keen understanding of the skills needed for successful entry into the global workplace. Without Mr. Marshall's commitment, GCC would not be able to offer this critical training. This course is being taught by Mr. Skaggs & Mr. Castillo, 2 highly trained professionals."
In addition, students now have the opportunity to enroll in CISCO Networking courses, which are part of the CISCO Academy:
CMP 297K (4 credits), Routers & Routing Basics
