Which Gila County Officials Endorse Kyl?

A bipartisan group of Gila Co. & local elected officials have individually declared their endorsement for Sen. Kyl’s reelection to the U.S. Senate. These leaders support Sen. Kyl because of his strong leadership in Gila Co. on issues including forest health, water supply mining, & ranching.

County Supervisor Tommie Cline Martin lauded Kyl’s support for hazardous fuel reduction projects on the Tonto National Forest. Kyl had helped secure $2.3 million for the Payson & Verde thinning projects in the 2007 Interior Department funding bill.

Gila Co. leaders endorsing Kyl also include Democrat Shirley Dawson, Co. Attorney Daisy Flores, Co. School Superintendent Linda O’Dell, Democrat Co. Recorder Linda Haught Ortega, Democrat Globe Mayor Stanley Gibson, & Democrat former Globe Vice-Mayor Terry Wheeler.
