First District Debates Continue

Agreeing to hold 1 debate in each of the 8 counties in the First District, Democratic Nominee Ellen Simon will participate, on Fri., Oct. 20th, in candidate debates number 4 & 5 in Pinal & Gila counties. On Fri., the 1st debate, held in Casa Grande begins at 11 a.m. followed by a candidate forum in Payson, which begins at 5 p.m. Simon will be joined by Libertarian David Schlosser at both debates. However, Rick Renzi will be a “no show” at both events.

Speaking about the events, Simon said, “I am looking forward to participating in these events & addressing the issues that are important to the residents of Pinal & Gila counties.” Simon continued, “Rick Renzi has already decided to skip the 1st 3 debates, & it is unfortunate that he has also chosen not to participate in Friday’s debates. The residents of Pinal & Gila counties should have the opportunity to hear directly from each of their candidates for Congress. By not showing up, Rick Renzi is taking their votes for granted.”
