Embraer Selects Williams Gateway
The Arizona Department of Commerce, Greater Phoenix Economic Council, the City of Mesa & Williams Gateway Airport Authority (WGAA) are pleased to announce Embraer, one of the world's leading manufacturers of commercial & corporate jets, has selected Williams Gateway Airport for an Embraer-owned executive jet service center to service Embraer manufactured executive aircraft.
Williams Gateway will be home to 1 of 4 Embraer-owned executive jet service centers to be located in the U.S. When fully operational, the new Embraer Executive Jet facility will create up to 60 new jobs & a total capital investment of approx. $11 million dollars.
The new service center will consist of a 40,000 square foot facility comprised of hangar, shops & office space. It will be built on 5.8 acres at the northwest corner of the airport, with an option for future development on 2 adjacent plots of land.
The service center will support the 6-occupant Phenom 100 & the 8-occupant, Phenom 300. The Phenom 100 is slated for a mid-2008 rollout; the Phenom 300 is slated for delivery in 2009. Embraer will break ground at Williams Gateway in 2007 & the facility is expected to be completed in 2008 prior to Phenom 100 delivery.
