Road Closure At Ellsworth & Empire

The intersection at Ellsworth Ave. & Empire Blvd. will be temporarily closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sat., Sept. 30th, & Sun., Oct. 1st, as electrical crews install the wiring & traffic signal heads at the intersection. This work is being completed during daylight hours because of the proximity to other energized power lines. It is anticipated that the traffic signal will be operational on Mon., Oct. 2nd, once the control box is installed and the traffic signal passes all field tests.

Motorists are advised to use Ironwood Drive-Gantzel Rd. & Bella Vista Rd. as an alternate route. Electronic message boards & detour markings will be placed at various locations near the intersection with latest closure & detour information. Local access will be maintained.
