New Deputy Director For Strategic Planning & Budgeting Named

James Apperson was named Deputy Director for Gov. Napolitano’s Office of Strategic Planning & Budgeting (OSPB). He begins his new position October 2nd, 2006.

Apperson will resign his current position as President & CEO of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce to join the OSPB staff. Previously he has served as Executive Assistant to Go. Bruce Babbitt & Chief of Staff for Gov. Rose Mofford, & has also worked for the Arizona House of Representative & the Arizona Corporation Commission. Additionally, Apperson has experience working for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission & served as Manager of External Affairs for Southwest Gas Corporation.

Apperson’s education includes a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Arizona State University & a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Northern Arizona University.
