Ironwood-Gantzel Roadway Construction Alert

1. IRONWOOD CLOSURE - Effective immediately, Ironwood is closed from Ocotillo to Pima. Motorists are being advised to use Kenworthy as an alternate route & should expect delays.

2. NIGHT CLOSURE - From 8 p.m. Fri., Sept. 15th, to 8 p.m.on Sat., Sept. 16th, Ocotillo Road will be closed between Ironwood & Kenworthy so crews can install an irrigation line. Motorists are advised to take Ironwood to Pima to Kenworthy as an alternate route. On Sat., Sept. 16th from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Sept. 18th, Ironwood will be closed between Pima & Ocotillo. Local access will be maintained.

3. INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS - Crews will be milling & reconstructing the Empire Boulevard & Gantzel Road intersection during the week of Sept. 11th. Motorists should expect delays & traffic changes in that area, & flaggers may be present during construction.

4. SPEED LIMIT REDUCTION - The speed limit has been reduced to 25 miles per hour between Combs & Bella Vista. Motorists are reminded to observe all posted speed limits within the construction area. The fine for speeding in the construction work zone is $250 with the possibility of additional fines.

5. SIGNAL TIMING - The timing of the signals at the intersection of Ocotillo & Ironwood-Gantzel Road had been adjusted an evaluated & will be monitored in the event that future adjustments need to be made.
