Gila River Near Winkelman Has High Bacteria

Due to recent flooding, water testing of the Gila River near Winkelman has indicated elevated levels of bacteria. Residents should avoid contact with Gila River water in the Winkelman area until further notice. The A.D.E.Q. & Az. Dept. of Health are assisting counties with this issue until it has resolved. Further testing is being conducted. Municipal & well water in the Winkelman are are not part of this advisory.
