Johnsen To Become Newest Court Of Appeals Judge

Gov. Janet Napolitano has appointed Diane Marie Johnsen, of Scottsdale, to be the newest Judge sitting on the Court of Appeals for District One. Currently, Johnsen is a partner with Osborn Maledon, P.A. in Phoenix.

Johnsen has spent the past 21 years practicing law in Phoenix. She began her higher education here in Arizona, attending the University of Arizona & graduating summa cum laude with bachelors’ degrees in both journalism & government. She is a graduate of Stanford University Law School. Johnsen wrote for the Arizona Daily Wildcat in college, & for the Stanford Law Review while earning her juris doctorate. In 2006 Johnsen was named to “The Best Lawyers in America.”

Johnson is involved in community interests, & has served on the Board of Directors for the Children’s Action Alliance for the past 2 years. Johnsen has 3 children, 2 in high school in Phoenix & 1 in college. With her children, she has been involved with National Charity League & Boys Team Charity.
