Globetrotter Bicycle Race

More than 200 cyclists from Arizona & New Mexico will be converging on Globe-Miami on Aug. 19th - 20th for the Globetrotter Omnium Bicycle Race. The racing begins at 7 a.m. both days. Saturday's race begins at the IBEW building on SR 188 & will continue to north of the Roosevelt bridge. From there, all cyclists will race back to Globe to finish near the Cobre Valley Country Club. Sundays race begins at mile marker 273 on highway 70, approx., 12 miles east of Globe. From there, the San Carlos Police Dept. will escort the riders to BIA 8 where the race will start. Racers will ride from 25 to 85 miles towards Point of Pines before returning to the finish line on BIA 8.
