Fire Guts Mobile Home In Claypool

A fire gutted a mobile home located at 4213 Wilson Street in Claypool on Sunday evening at approx., 6:30 p.m.

Tri-City Firefighters were alerted that heavy smoke was seen coming from the residence. Upon arrival the fire was found in the front of the home. Quick extinguishment by Tri-City Firefighters kept the fire in the area of origin where intense fire damage occurred. The remainder of the home received heavy smoke damage. The home is considered a total loss. Both Globe and Canyon Fire Departments assisted Tri-City.

The owner of the home was seen at the residence earlier in the day but was apparently not living there. Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the blaze.
