Az Dept of Commerce Leads Exporters on 2 Mexico Trade Missions
The Arizona Department of Commerce will lead interested Arizona exporters on 2 trade missions to Mexico City in September 2006.
Enviro-Pro 2006 is the largest & most important environmental exhibition in Mexico, bringing together the business community from the environmental & energy industries in Mexico. Enviro-Pro 2006 is held September 27-29, 2006. The cost to participate is $695. The Arizona package includes, support of the Arizona Trade Office, bilingual trade aide, full time coverage at the booth (part of the US pavilion), breakfast briefing, finished booth space that includes tables, chairs, electricity, lighting, carpet, & more.
The week begins with a separate trade mission in Mexico City, September 24-27, 2006. Arizona's Trade Office in Guadalajara will schedule one-on-one meetings in Mexico City with prospective clients in the Mexican market. Appointments are limited to 2 days so that you can interview the maximum number of good candidates with a minimum of time away from the office.
"This is an excellent & cost effective opportunity for Small- & medium-sized Arizona companies which manufacture or sell environmental & other industry products or services & are interested in enteringthe Latin American Market," says Arizona Department of Commerce Director Gilbert Jimenez.
Mexico City, known also as the Federal District or D.F., is the capitol city of Mexico. The city is the seat of the Federal Government & houses all the ministries, most government agencies, & over 280,000 firms. Mexico City & the 21 principal municipalities of the surrounding State of Mexico are home to 40% of Mexico's industrial base. Mexico City is the most important distribution center in the country. During the last 5 years, major U.S. retail stores such as JC Penny's, Wal-Mart, Home Mart & Office Depot have opened new stores & sell many U.S. & local products to Mexican customers. Also,there are more franchise restaurants & stores in this area than any other part of the country.
Leading environmental exports for U.S. products are: Electronic Components, Building Products, Computer Hardware, Software, & Services, Water Resources Equipment & Services, Pollution Control Equipment, & Electrical Power Systems.
