7 Mile Wash Being Evacuated

The San Carlos Apache Tribal Council declared a required Emergency Evacuation in all areas along the San Carlos River, 7 Mile, San Carlos, & Peridot. The possibility of more flood waters flowing into Talkalai Lake/Elgo Dam may increase the San Carlos River. The evacuation site is at the San Carlos High School Gymnasium. This is supposed to be a one night evacuation. For those without transportation, San Carlos School buses will be at the 7 Mile Head Start, Property & Supply, & the Boys & Girls Club. We will have Chairwoman Kathy Kitcheyan calling in within the hour with an announcement on KRDE 94.1 FM, with updated info on the evacuations in San Carlos.
