It saddens me to announce that Freddy Fender has Lung Cancer. This was confirmed last night by one of Freddy's close friends, Rick Trevino at the concert held at the Apache Gold Casino Resort. Those who heard Freddy at his peformance at the Casino last Fall, must realize that he was more than likely in the early stages of this sickness, & would explain everything.
