Flexible Technologies Creates New Jobs In Phoenix

The Az. Dept. of Commerce, Greater Phoenix Economic Council, & the City of Phoenix are delighted to announce that Flexible Technologies, Inc. Thermaflex(r) Division has established a manufacturing operation in the City of Phoenix. The Phoenix facility begins operations with 25 full time employees, including machine operators, warehouse personnel, & maintenance mechanics, with plans to increase the workforce to 75-100 over the next few years.

"This project highlights the interest companies throughout Europe & the UK have in Arizona as a place for investment & expansion in the U.S. market," said Gilbert Jimenez, Director of the Arizona Department of Commerce. "Flexible Technologies will enjoy the unique combination of elements Arizona offers, including a pro-business environment, attractive operating costs, modern infrastructure, skilled workforce & strong educational systems."

"Bringing Flexible Technologies to the region, with its strong parent ties to Europe, is evidence of Arizona's foreign direct investment program at work," said Barry Broome, president & CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council. "GPEC is committed to continue working with the State & our regional economic development partners in Tucson & Flagstaff to attract international enterprises that create quality jobs in Arizona."

Flexible Technologies invested significant capital in this project & expects to grow its investment here through the next 10 years. The company will service customers in the 11 Western states, Alaska, Hawaii & Western Canada.

"We selected Phoenix as a manufacturing base in order to best serve our customers & continue to grow our west coast operations," said Bo Carlay, Director of Operations for the Thermaflex(r) Division. "We are very pleased with the welcome we have received from the state of Arizona." Harriett Simpson, Vice-President of Human Resources for Flexible Technologies commented that she is very pleased with the caliber of the workforce that has been recruited for the Phoenix operation & the cooperation received from the State of Arizona & the City of Phoenix.
