Failed Suicide Attempt

Berlins World Cup coordinator, Juergen Kiessling, 65, reportedly shot himself in the head hours after Sunday's final in an apparent suicide attempt. Police spokeswoman Claudia Schulz confirmed newspaper reports that he had shot himself. She said there was no indication of anyone else involved, & that there was no information regarding the possible motive. The Bild daily has reported that Kiessling is still in a Berlin hospital.
