City of Surprise - Senior Utilities Technician

Operations Division - Water Services Department

Salary: $19.27 per hour

Incumbents perform the more complex wastewater treatment operations work requiring increased technical knowledge of utilities operations. Duties include: training of lower level technicians & general maintenance staff, operation of more complex equipment, & optimization of controls.

EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma & G.E.D., & 2 years of utilities, plant distribution, collections, &/or laboratory related experience; or, anequivalent combination of education & experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above

CERTIFICATION

Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Arizona driver's license. Grade 2 or 3 Wastewater Treatment & Collections Certification.
