Conference Center A Reality

Thanks to a joint capital project between NAU & the City of Flagstaff the much awaited & anticipated conference center is close to breaking ground. NAU will close the large parking lot across from the North Union on August 1st, 2006 to begin work on the project while the university continues to work on finance terms. The total cost of the project is expected to be about $14 million dollars, financed by $10 million from the sale of bonds, $2 million from the City of Flagstaff & $2 million from Proposition 301 funds for economic development.
