Operator Certification ERG Drinking Water Workshop
The ERG work plan provides educational assistance to certified operators of community & nontransient, noncommunity public water systems serving less than 3,300 persons. The primary goal of the ERG program is to provide continuing education to eligible operators at locations that benefit the majority of operators. Eligible operators will receive these services during the fiscal year as long as they are employed by a public water system that meets the eligibility requirements. ADEQ will be using a combination of educational workshops, interactive media, & textbooks to provide continuing education opportunities to each eligible operator. For fiscal year 2007 (June 2006 through June 2007), each eligible operator will be reimbursed for 1 overnight stay at 2 individual workshops. Eligible operators may attend more than 2 workshops; however no reimbursement would be granted for any overnight stay for additional workshops. In addition, operators not eligible for grant reimbursement will be allowed to attend any workshop on a space available, 1st-come, 1st-serve basis. June 2006 workshop (in Phoenix) limited to 50 attendees. There is no cost for this training. Materials, lodging (1 night) & lunches will be provided for eligible operators (those working for CWS & NTNCWS serving less than 3,300). Transportation is the attendee's responsibility.
