Lightning Bust Update On Apache/Sitgreaves

On the Apache Forest there are 7 fires of fairly small size (less than several acres) that are burning presently; 1 fire has been contained & the rest are being worked on at this time.

On the Sitgreaves NF there are 5 fires burning at this time, 1 of which is getting fairly large at this time; its called the Potato Fire & is estimated to be about 50-60 acres & is actively burning in the tree tops.

There are 4 fires burning in the area of the Potato Fire, 8 miles North West of Heber along the KV Powerlines.

The Potato Fire is 8 miles North West of Heber along the KV Powerlines. The fire is approx., 50 to 60 acres in size & the smoke column can be seen for miles. 1 heavy airtanker, 1 helicopter & ground crews are working this fire. More air tankers have been ordered.
