La Barranca Fire Update

CoconinoNF *WILDLAND FIRE* OAK CREEK CANYON, Units advise La Barranca fire is approx. 2,000 acres as of 10 p.m. last night & moving N/E towards the Munds Park Wilderness with extreme fire behavior in the canyons. 30 homes are under voluntary evacuations & are in close proximity to the fire. 2 homes have been lost. This is a Type 2 incident with Type 1 crews ordered for today.
