Dateline NBC Sued By Az. Inmate

Inmate Thomas Morgan is suing "Dateline NBC" & the Arizona Department of Corrections, claiming he had been assaulted in prison after a Dateline Special on James Saville labeled him a snitch. The show stated Morgan as receiving favors in exchange for giving info on Seville after he told Morgan he wanted to kill a county sheriff. Saville was later acquitted. In the lawsuit, Morgan says he was placed in protective custody until his release from prison in 2002, but then wasn't given that same protection when he ended up in prison in Tucson in 2004 on a charge of attempted fraud. It's reported that Morgan was attacked by 6 to 8 other inmates within 30 minutes of the show's airing, suffering cracked ribs & a concussion.
