Casting Now For Universal Pictures' "The Kingdom"

Universal Pictures & the Arizona Department of Commerce are putting the call out for movie extras to appear in "The Kingdom" now being filmed in the East Valley. This feature film is being filmed June-August. "The Kingdom" stars Jamie Foxx as the leader of an elite team of counter terrorism investigators who work in a previously off limits desert kingdom trying to find those responsible for a deadly bombing attack on American workers in the Middle East.

"Being the 1st major studio feature to film in the state since Gov. Napolitano signed the motion picture incentive plan isvery exciting to us," says executive producer Steve Saeta. "We are looking forward to working with the greater Phoenix community in creating an authentic middle-eastern look in the southwestern United States." Extras Casting Director Maryellen Aviano is currently casting men with Middle Eastern features both young & old. She's looking for dark complexioned men including those of Middle Eastern, Hispanic & Asian descent.

"We would like to cast local valley residents for this feature film," says Maryellen Aviano. "We need people all summer-long for these paid non-speaking extra positions." Aviano says the script is the perfect opportunity for brothers, fathers, sons, & grandfathers to share this experience by being cast together. "It's a chance to share the once in a lifetime experience of filmmaking," Aviano says.

The primary goal of the new Motion Picture Production Tax Incentives Program is to promote & stimulate the production of commercial motion pictures in Arizona.
