U.S. 60 Work Continues

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) began work starting May 11th, adjacent to US 60 between Miami Avenue & Latham Boulevard in Miami, AZ.

DJ’s Construction, Inc. of Globe is constructing a new parallel parking area, sidewalks, fencing, ramadas, pedestrian lighting & trash receptacles. One westbound lane is expected to remain open at all times during construction. Drivers may encounter minor traffic delays.

The work is taking place Monday through Thursday between 6 a.m. & 5 p.m. through August 2006. Occasional work will be done on Fridays if it might be needed. During construction, the west end of the Miami town park on US 60 will be closed to the public. The east end of the park, including the playground, will remain open.
