Time Is Running Out

May 15th is the deadline for Medicare-eligible Arizonans to enroll in the new federal Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage program (Medicare Part D). Many seniors & others are struggling to understand the process, confounded by a bewildering maze of the new benefit programs. To ease that confusion, Arizona’s BenefitsCheckUp program has been expanded to include help on figuring out Medicare D. “BenefitsCheckUpRx” is an Internet-based questionnaire that assists Medicare-eligible Arizonans in determining whether one of the new Medicare prescription plans is the right choice for them.

The BenefitsCheckUp service is confidential, allowing a search of services without having to provide a name or address. The BenefitsCheckUp Web site is BENEFITS. Medicare-eligible Arizonans can also take advantage of FREE, personal help at the BenefitsCheckUp screening sites currently located in 12 Arizona counties. To find the nearest screening site, or to receive a BenefitsCheckUp screening questionnaire by mail, call 1-800-432-4040.
