Special Groundbreaking Ceremony Friday

The special groundbreaking ceremony is for America's #1 outdoor retailer, Bass Pro Shops, that will be located at Mesa Riverview -- a 240-acre retail, entertainment, auto mall & office center development planned for the vacant agricultural property south of Loop 202 & east of Loop 101, between Dobson & Alma School in northwest Mesa. The event will be at 9 a.m., Friday, at the store site in the development project. A special announcement will be made about a gift being made to the city by Bass Pro Shops. The Bass Pro Shops store will be approx., 180,000 square feet & will feature a rock climbing wall, a boat service center & an over 8,000 square foot Islamorada Fish Company restaurant. The store is tentatively scheduled to open in April 2007.
