Small Area Transportation Study
The Pinal Co. Board of Supervisors would like to invite all area residents to the 2nd round of public hearings regarding the County's Small Area Transportation Study (SATS). People will be given a chance to review the recommendations of the transportation planners & offer their comments for consideration before the final document is published. There will be 3 SATS open houses. Each of the meetings will contain the same info on the SATS & their findings.
The SATS open houses will take place at the following locations:
Tuesday, May 30th, J.O. Combs Middle School Multi-Purpose Room 37327 N. Gantzel Road in Queen Creek; Wednesday, May 31st, Gardner Learning Center, located at the old Gardner Middle School, 715 Avenue D in San Manuel & Thursday, June 1st, Stanfield Elementary School District Cafeteria, 515 S. Stanfield Road in Stanfield. The open houses will run from 5 - 7 pm. There will be a short presentation of the draft plan at 5:15 pm.
The study's objectives are to address several issues related to the future of transportation in Pinal County. Transportation planners are studying what transportation improvements are needed, how will the improvements be implemented and funded & when the improvements should be constructed. The planners are looking at a plan that will be viable 20 years into the future. If you have any questions regarding the open house you can call Kathy, Special Projects Manager for Pinal County's Dept. of Public Works at (520) 866-6406.
