More Volunteers Needed

The Globe Public Library needs more volunteers to help with the Summer Reading Program. This program is for children ages 6-12, & they need volunteers to help with stories, songs, games, & crafts. A meeting will take place in the library's community room on May 31st, at 2 p.m. The program itself lasts 5 weeks in June & July on Wed. & Thurs. mornings from 10 to 11:45 a.m. This year's theme is, "Paw, Claws, Scales, & Tales." Interested persons are urged to contact Marion or Ellen at 425-6111.

Also, the deadline to register children for the program is June 6th. The library is asking for the following items: cotton gloves, empty thread spools, small bells (like on shoe laces), large buttons, wire clothes hangers, brass paper fasteners, card stock (old file folders), toilet paper rolls, & pipe cleaners. These items will be gratefully received at 339 N. Broad St.
