Mining Conference

The American Mining History Assoc., will be meeting in the area from Thursday through Sunday, June 1st - 4th, with over 150 people from around the world expected to be in attendance, plus local interested persons. The conference meetings,luncheons, & banquet will be held at the Apache Gold Casino with a variety of history papers on the agenda, including several on the mining & history of this area. Field trips will also take place during the event. A reception & open house will be held at the Gila Co. Historical Museum on the evening of June 1st. Registration will be held at the casino from 2-5 p.m. on Thursday & starting at 8 a.m. Friday & Saturday. More details & a copy of the program are available at the Gila Co. Historical Museum.
