Lynyrd Skynyrd Forced To Cancel Shows

It was with great disappointment that the legendary rock outfit Lynyrd Skynyrd announced a change to their touring plans. Johnny Van Zant is currently undergoing emergency surgery to have his appendix removed at Stanford Medical Center. His post-operative rehabilitation will prevent him from performing for the next 7 days. The following Lynyrd Skynyrd performances have been canceled:

May 19; Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA
May 20; Miltary Show in 29 Palms, CA
May 21; Sunset Station Casino in Henderson, NV

As one of the hardest working groups in music today, Lynyrd Skynyrd & is one of the latest members of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame & continuing to perform hundreds of shows each year. In 2005, the band performed on the 47th annual Grammy Awards, the CMT Super Bowl Kickoff show, & the American Idol Season Finale.
