Globe High School DUI Awareness Classes

The Globe P.D., Gila Co. Probation Dept. Az. Liquor Control, & Globe High School will be conducting classes on DUI awareness for students at the Globe High School tomorrow & next Thursday from 8 a.m. to about 2:30 p.m. Students will be educated on the laws of possessing & using alcohol under the age of 21. Students will then be fitted with Fatal Vision Goggles that simulate low, medium, & high blood alcohol content. The students will be administered several field sobriety tests & then attempt to complete a driving course in a golf cart. The training is to show the effects that alcohol can have on them & what the consequences can be.
