Gila Community College Offering IV Training

The Gila Community College is offering intravenous training for Emergency Medical Technicians at the Gila Pueblo Campus. The course, EMT 172, is designed for Emergency Medical Technicians who are committed to developing skills needed to successfully conduct peripheral intravenous cannulation techniques, fluid resuscitation, obtaining venous blood samples for laboratory analysis; infection control techniques for the safety of self and victim. The course also provides a review of the anatomy of the circulatory system. Classes will be conducted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 15th, 16th, & 18th. D. J.
