Fire Ban

Effective today, the Maricopa County Parks & Recreation Department will initiate its annual fire ban. Due to the dry conditions within the parks & lack of moisture this winter, the dept. will prohibit any fires on Maricopa County park property. Affected areas are, Lake Pleasant Regional Park, White Tank Mtn. Regional Park, Adobe Dam Regional Park, Buckeye Hills Regional Park, Estrella Mtn. Regional Park (excluding turf area), San Tan Mtn. Regional Park, Usery Mtn. Regional Park, McDowell Mtn. Regional Park, Cave Creek Regional Park, & Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area. Smoking in the parks is still o.k., but all park patrons are urged to be responsible in their use & ensure that all cigarettes are properly extinguished & placed in trash receptacles.
