Drowning At Roosevelt

26-year-old Jeremy James Turley drowned after jumping into the lake to cool off Friday afternoon. Wind & water conditions allowed the boat to drift away from the victim & they were unable to reach him before it was too late. This incident occurred off the Coyote Loop in Windy Hill. The Roosevelt Lake Patrol Units were advised at 1:24 p.m. Upon arriving at the scene Deputies Kemper & Jones immediately called for the dive team. Divers began recovery operations around 3 p.m. that afternoon & continued til Sunday morning when they recovered Turley's body at around 11:30 a.m. No word if any alcohol was involved.
